InDigital 2024: Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Youth Content Creators Program

About the Program

InDigital is a program for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP&LC) youth to enhance their social media content creation skills. It aims to create compelling content that engages and grows audiences and contributes to the IPLC movement.

Participants
  • 20 – 25 IP&LC Youth Content Creators from Brazil, Indonesia, Congo, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and other countries in Central America.

Organizer

Food Nature Climate Dialogue (FNCD), a strategic communication initiative supporting groups and organizations working on the issues of forests, Indigenous Rights, food, agriculture, and climate. For the implementation, FNCD will get support from two agencies, Pulso & Pajubá.

  • Content creation production and dissemination on the IP&LC youth social media channels

Program Allowance

Each participant will receive US$1000 in financial support, which can be used to buy internet plans or equipment such as a phone, camera, ring lights, etc., to support the process of making good social media content. The allowance will be transferred in two installments: 50% after the capacity-building workshops are finished and 50% at the end of the program.

Timeline: 6 months program

July 2024

Pre-assessment of the IP&LC youth as content creators.

August - November 2024

– A series of capacity-building and coaching sessions in content creation strategy.

  • 10 – 12 sessions 
  • 2 – 3 hours per session
  • Sessions will be held on Zoom with live interpreters/audio for each language.

 

– Content creation production and dissemination on the IP&LC youth social media channels. Approximately 6 – 7 content per person during the program.
